John's web'ages are, like half the www, under construction (Even as I type, he's working on the content. When he's done, I'll start on the design). Since he can't introduce himself directly, this brief introduction will have to do. John is fairly quiet and seems to be a bit stand-offish until he feels comfortable in a situation. Quite the opposite of me -- I make friends with the woman behind me in line at the grocery. Interestingly, he seems to develop stronger friendships than I do.

John and I met on the internet, fall 1995. We didn't immediately fall in love, or even quickly become friends. Our relationship grew quietly but deeply, slowly but strongly. He became my best friend, then my boyfriend, and finally my husband.
Even though John and I have been together for a relatively short time, he has been a profound influence on the woman I'm growing into. He not only shares his thoughts and experiences with me, but he somehow manages to share his essence with me. John Lantier, My Husband and Friend We didn't start out with a lot in common (shared values and some similar inner experiences), but we've done an amazing job of broadening our individual frameworks to include the things that are important to the other. We each try to provide the other with the gift of experience.
There is never a dull moment, living with John. He tells a great story, complete with voices and sound effects. His face and gestures are animated and he can pull you in with his enthusiasm. He often reads me to sleep, and he brings life to a story in a way that Franklin W. Dixon never did. In a parallel universe, I'm sure he does stand-up! None of my friends believe this, since John is so quiet, polite and clean cut ... but he claims to be the last Iron Maiden fan in North America. Our music collection is full of bands I used to be afraid of: (old) Dokken, Ratt, Scorpions, Megadeath and of course, Iron Maiden. Even I have to admit that Brave New World rocks! John is working in the cage at Fry's Electronics while he prepares for the future. He recently earned the A+ and CCDA and he's studying for the CCNA. He's great with computers. I'm amazed at the way he can look at something, turning it over and over in his mind until he beats it. That's not to say he never gets frustrated or walks off, but he always comes back to the problem. That's one of the things I most admire about him.
